Story
Hello :)
Thank you very much for having a look at my donation page, feel free to give something, even if that is just your support! <3
I am running a Tough Mudder in Birmingham on the 7th September along with some friends. I have chosen to support Teenage Cancer Trust, as I would love to aid those who do not have the chance to go out there and challenge themselves. Those that have spent their teenage years alone, scared, and unsure whether they'll be alive the next day. It takes the heart of a warrior to keep fighting through Cancer, and that's only compounded when you're fighting through it whilst forming the person that you are.
I dedicate supporting Teenage Cancer Trust to Ahnaf Rahman, a good friend who always wished the best on everyone. He fought till his very last day. Despite the tremendous challenge that he faced, he always remained fearless. From what I understand, the lack of things to do and the overbearing nature of Cancer taking over all aspects of his life was one of the most difficult things for him to go through. Some of his worst days are when he didn't have a community and I hope that a donation will mean that less young people have to feel that way.
To give a brief outline of what Teenage Cancer Trust do, they are a charity aimed at supporting young people by informing them on how to deal with Cancer, to meet others going through a similar situation. They fund oncology within the NHS, ensuring that young people with cancer are receiving tailored support. No one should have to fight Cancer alone, and Teenage Cancer Trust ensure they're supported mentally and physically the whole way through.
I have attached a very meaningful image to this post which highlights just how valuable having a community is. A warrior can fight through the physical problems they may face, but the mental challenges are a whole different mountain to climb.
